Jennifer Childress is an artist presently focused on the simplicity of black and white works in ink on paper. Her quiet, ordinary scenes, often inspired by nature, reflect moments of peaceful solitude, nostalgia, and the beauty of aging.

After graduating with degrees in studio art and psychology, she worked successively as a graphic designer, creative services manager, and advertising art buyer. Later, she attended law school and worked many years as a discovery attorney.
Seeking to reconnect to her creativity, in January 2019 she began a daily art practice simply using ink on paper with intentional focus and curiosity of the ordinary and everyday - resulting in more than 1,000 sketches and final works to date. She also continues to explore color through gouache, acrylic, and watercolor.
